From its conception in the mid-18th century as an extremely rudimentary straw, the julep strainer has become a staple to the professional barman's toolbox. Although less-used than the Hawthorne strainer, Julep is still popular among cocktail enthusiasts whilst the copper plating brings it into the 21st century.
